With the obvious military themes that could go with a “Desert Storm” theme, we decided to take it further. We looked at what was taking place culturally in America around the time of Desert Storm as a reference point. Influences for our design came from early 90s CNN graphics, Public Enemy, metal bands, the Los Angeles Riots, industrial music groups like Ministry and Nine Inch Nails, and action films like The Terminator and Predator.
The visual content package debuted in Flosstradamus’s home town of Chicago as they closed out the dance music stage at Lollapalooza.
For our second major project with legendary trap outfit Flosstradamus, the theme was a post apocalyptic dystopian world. Immanent was hired to create a brand new content package as well as handle technical direction and playback. The full content package consisted of multiple environment looks, vj clips, and holograms clips.
The stage design consisted of a giant Pyramid and cave structure behind it. Inside the pyramid was a datamosh camera system, which was incorporated into the external visuals, and one giant hologram projection floating inside.
The show debuted at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater on 4/20/2017.
